When I was a kid I used to ask my parents what they wanted me to draw. Then I would take a piece of notebook paper and a pencil and draw it. It was a natural thing therefore, after casting around for a direction in life, that I would steer towards illustration! For over 30 years I had ad agencies and art directors at publishing houses telling me what they wanted me to draw and paint! I loved the challenge! Even the deadlines!

Along the way I started teaching a few painting classes and wanting to create some time to produce my own artwork, I illustrated less and taught more. And guess what? Now I have students coming to me and getting out their phones and saying “ I want to paint this!” Strange world, huh? No wonder I love my job! My childhood is repeating itself!!!”
